TREATMENTS
Treatments
At Joy Dental Clinic Bongcheon, we show you first, before treatment is decided. We look at your current condition together on X-rays and intraoral photos, and the director explains in person why a treatment is needed before anything begins.
HOW WE TREAT
Before treatment is decided, we show you first
01
We look at your current condition together
At your first visit, your current condition is recorded with X-rays and intraoral photos, and with CT, Q-ray or an intraoral scan if needed, then shown on screen so that you and your family can understand it.
02
You decide after you understand
The director personally explains why a treatment is needed, what other options there are, and how long it takes and what it costs. We do not recommend treatment we cannot show you the evidence for.
03
The director who planned it sees it through
The director personally handles everything from consultation and treatment to the final check and later checkups. If anything feels uncomfortable, we will look at it again at any time.

ALL TREATMENTS
Treatment areas
From implants, dentures and prosthetics, the areas a prosthodontist works with most closely, to treatments that preserve natural teeth: for each, we note what we show you.
Implants
Jawbone thickness and nerve position are checked on 3D CT, and only as many implants as needed are placed.
What we show you · Placement positions and number on CT
Full-arch implants
A jaw with most teeth missing is restored with a small number of implants. We compare fixed bridges and implant dentures together.
What we show you · The design on CT and models
Dentures
We first check whether a reline will work, then make custom dentures with less movement, or implant-supported dentures.
What we show you · Intraoral scans and the try-in process
Aesthetic prosthodontics
Options that remove less tooth structure are considered first: resin, laminate veneers, all-ceramic crowns.
What we show you · A mock-up previewing the result’s shape
Cavity treatment
Depending on depth: resin, inlay or root canal treatment. As much healthy tooth structure as possible is kept.
What we show you · Extent of decay on Q-ray fluorescence images
Gum treatment
Caught early, it can be managed. Scaling and curettage by stage of periodontitis.
What we show you · Gum measurements and X-rays
Teeth whitening
Depending on the cause of discoloration, we first sort out which teeth can be whitened and which cannot.
What we show you · Cause of discoloration and expected range
TMJ care
Jaw clicking, pain and limited opening are classified as muscle-related or joint-related before treatment. Occlusal stabilization splints.
What we show you · Test results and type classification
Wisdom tooth extraction
Not every wisdom tooth is extracted. Whether to extract or to watch is judged on 3D CT.
What we show you · Wisdom tooth and nerve position on CT
INFORMATION
Costs and the first consultation
Costs · Health insurance
The director explains the treatment plan and cost in person before anything begins. We do not cut necessary steps for the sake of time or cost.
Whether Korean national health insurance covers implants or dentures for patients aged 65 and over is checked at the consultation.
What happens at the first consultation
